Urban Ecology Center
In 2013, Team NBF held its first volunteer event at the Urban Ecology Center in Washington Park. Here we removed invasive plants and planted new trees. It was hard work, but fun work, and we had a great time working as a team to get it all done. Learn more about the Urban Ecology Center.
2014
Urban Ecology Center
For our second event at the Urban Ecology Center, we planted bushes, painted the center's community room and placed protective cages around trees. We also donated 16 tables for general use. Learn more about the Urban Ecology Center.
Walk for Wishes
NBF has been participating in the annual Walk for Wishes for several years now. By participating in this event, we're able to help Make a Wish Wisconsin grant the wish of a child with a life-threatening medical condition, enriching the human experience with hope, strength and joy. 2015
The Giving Tree
In 2015 we partnered with the Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee to participate in its annual Holiday Giving Tree. NBF employees purchased gifts for Milwaukee children to share in the holiday spirit. Learn more about the Holiday Giving Tree.
Milwaukee River Cleanup
Every year Team NBF gets together to help clean up the Milwaukee River near our Milwaukee office. Trash bags are filled and the landscape is cleared to make way for better, cleaner water. Learn more about the Milwaukee Riverkeeper
Urban Ecology Center
In 2015 we made our way back to the Urban Ecology Center, this time to organize and clean the center's basement and do more work in land stewardship, including removing sod, putting down mulch and setting up protective screens around the area trees. Walk for Wishes

2016
Wisconsin Humane Society Toy Build
In 2016 we held our first ever toy build for the Wisconsin Humane Society right here in the NBF office. Employees made fleece tug toys which were then donated to the organization to make for some happy adoptable dogs. Learn more about the Wisconsin Humane Society.
Milwaukee River Cleanup
At NBF, we believe in leaving the earth cleaner than we found it, which is why we participated in the Milwaukee River Cleanup again in 2016 and 2017. Going green and keeping Mother Nature clean starts in our own backyard. Learn more about the Milwaukee Riverkeeper
Walk for Wishes
We had another fun outing participating in the 2016 Walk for Wishes. Not only does this event support a fantastic cause, but it's a lot of fun too, and we're looking forward to doing the walk again in 2017. Learn more about Make a Wish Wisconsin
